Children Education

As part of our larger mission to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas, our foundation is focusing on educating children through all levels of education. Our founder, Mr. Chithirai Selva Kumar is leading the efforts to support children who seek quality education and employment.

With a GER of ~50% Tamil Nadu is leading the country in terms of gross enrolment ratio.

We hope to improve the enrolment ratio in primary, secondary, & higher secondary schools. This ensures children get adequate education to progress in their lives. Our goal is to not only increase the number of students pursuing education but also to enhance the quality of education thereby ensuring a better future for the children.

The Need for Education

Education is the most important enabler in a society. An educated society can break free from the shackles of history and geography. It is a primary need and a fundamental right of our children. We need to make sure every child, boy, girl, and transgender, gets the basic education through our educational system.

Only with proper education, can they come out of social evils like poverty, & discrimination. Once we get our children to understand the importance of education, they will naturally move towards gaining more knowledge. With proper education, they can bring a better life for themselves and their families. Our foundation seeks to support every child to learn, and also make sure their educational institutions are well-maintained.

Our Steps toward Our Goals

We are undertaking the following to provide better facilities in the government school infrastructure in the rural areas which will enable better enrolment and learning environment for our children.

Set up a RO water plant with 20 litre capacity at the Government Primary School Ichadi Village, Vadavalam Panchayat.
Set up a 100 litre capacity RO water plant at the Government Higher Secondary School Vadavalam Panchayat
Provide lunch for 600 Government School students at KKC Stadium Pudukkottai for sports event on 29th & 30th September.

Our Larger Vision

By making sure the educational institutions are well endowed with the essential infrastructure and modern facilities, the enrolment ratio in Government schools can be improved. Families in rural areas can send their children to school with complete confidence as children will get good meals through the Government mid-day meal programmes, and also have access to clean drinking water through our programmes. The fruit sapling distribution program will cater to the nutritional needs of children in the coming years.

By providing clean water and fruit trees, we aim to bridge the gap in the nutritional requirements of children.

As for higher education, our foundation is open to support those who wish to pursue their Bachelor’s, Master’s, and also Doctorate degrees in any field. We are also planning to start a coaching centre to train graduates to appear for Union & State civil services examinations. With a continuous and overall support, we can ensure that every child blossoms into their full capability and lead a happy life.
